Louisville Association of Paralegals
September Program Lunch - September 28, 2016
The LAP held a Program Luncheon at the Jefferson County Public Law Library. The featured speaker was Lieutenant Josh Judah of the Louisville Metro Police Department who gave a great presentation on LMPD’s wearable mobile video equipment or “body-cams”, which are now being worn by all LMPD officers. He spoke about the benefits these cameras offer to the police and the citizens of our community, how the LMPD Standard Operating Procedures governs the use of body-cams, how the video recordings are being used in court actions and internal police investigations, and how copies of body-cam videos may be obtained through open records requests. Lt. Judah showed a demonstration video so attendees got a first-hand look at recorded body-cam footage.
