In 2014, the LAP held Education Seminars on the Fourth Amendment and Sports Law, Skip Tracing, Digital Forensics for Labor and Employment Practitioners, and Personal and Business Use and Ethical Implications of the Internet.
The topic of our February 19, 2014 Program luncheon was Active Shooter and the speakers were Lloyd Velleck and James Habib of the United States Marshall Service. At the June 18, 2014 Program luncheon, the current state of affairs of LAP was presented by LAP President, Paula Peters. The 2014 Linda Hillerich Paralegal Student Scholarship was awarded to Sullivan University student, Carissa Moss, at the June Program luncheon.
The CIPS Committee was been busy in 2014 hosting dinners at Ronald McDonald House and Gilda’s Club. LAP Members also volunteered at the Kentucky Human Society’s Waggin Trail 5K and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
