On April 20, 2015, the LAP participated in the Mayor's Give-A-Day Week by collection donations of school supplies for UniKids Inc. and new and used shoes for WaterStep at the Louisville Bar Association.
The topic of the April Program luncheon was WaterStep and its projects with John McIntyre as the speaker. The May Program luncheon topic was the Kentucky Derby Museum with Lynn Ashton as the speaker. The topic of our July Program luncheon was the History of Louisville with Tom Owen as the speaker.
The topic of the June Education seminar was "Mergers and Acquisitions: Tips to Ensure a Smooth Closing". The speakers were Teri Mayor, VP Product Management and Colleen A. De Vries, SVP of Product Management, National Corporate Research, Ltd.
The topic of the September Education seminar was Paralegal Ethics and was held at the Jefferson County Public Law Library. The speakers were Rob Watson, Esq. and Amy Cubbage, Esq. of McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland, PLLC.
CIPS has been busy with Kentucky Humane Society Waggin' Trail Walk, Ronald McDonald House, Gilda's Club of Louisville and Picture Your Pets With Santa.
