The LAP will be holding an Education Seminar at Noon on April 18, 2018 at  the Jefferson County Public Law Library.  Amy D. Cubbage will be speaking on Ethics of Social Media.  More details to come soon.


If you are not already a member, consider joining the LAP and taking advantage of the many opportunities and benefits of being a member. The LAP offers joint membership with the Louisville Bar Association for voting members and joint LAP/LBA paralegal members may attend most LBA CLE programs for $20.00.


The KPA's Spring 2018 Certified Kentucky Paralegal (CKP) Exam will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Sullivan University's Lexington Campus. A review session will be offered at 10:00 a.m., and the CKP Examination will be given at 12:00 p.m.

Education Committee

Student Liaison/Mentor

Ways and Means

The purpose of the Ways and Means Committee is to coordinate fund raising activities as needed to benefit the LAP.  Please contact Angela Sermon at ASERMON@wyattfirm.com 


  • Expand the use of Paralegals in all aspects of the legal profession;
  • Establish and promote a working relationship between Paralegals and attorneys, business entities and government;
  • Cooperate with all appropriate bar and paralegal associations to promote high ethical standards and professionalism for Paralegals;
  • Encourage educational programs and training to promote continuing legal education for Paralegals; and
  • Inform Paralegals of developments in the paralegal profession and act as a forum for exchanging ideas.
